    I bought CS5 while I worked at a University, and the serial number that came with my purchase did not mention any ending date

    Did you buy a time limited license, as it mentions in what you posted?

    I think you need to go back to that vendor and find out just what it is that you bought... since $17.20 is in no way the amount you would have paid for the actual CS6 product... so, as I said, I know nothing about a license extension

    I have never heard of a license extension such as you describe

    Normally, when you buy CS6 and receive a serial number, it is with no ending date

    Where did you make your original purchase, and did you receive a serial number?
