I can't download CS6 Extended

I am taking a class on Photoshop. The required program that I have to use is Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended. I purchased the program from my campus book store. I got home logged on an verified my college information. I got the email telling me how to get the serial number for the program. I followed the steps to get the serial number and then there was nothing else. No link to download nothing. All the screen said was Your Ready To Go. Now I have a serial number and no program to use it with. I spoke with customer service and they gave me the link for the Photoshop CC. I was told to download CC and then enter my serial number and that would take care of it. After waiting for and hour and half for it to download it didn't work. I need help.

I have tried both of suggestions to download and every one says a file is missing unable to download. Then it tells me to download the support downloader to find out which one is missing. So i try to download that and after it finishes it tells me that file is incomplete and I need to contact the creator and let them know. I am beyond pissed off and tired of this. For the $400 i spent yesterday to buy this program I should not have these problems.

Hi tanderson, sorry you're having difficulties...  If you carefully follow the step-by-step instructions given on the page for these original CS6 direct download links then you shouldn't get any missing or denied errors, and no support downloader or assistant is used.

(Note importantly that if you purchased CS6 then your licensing and serial number will not work for the newer CC version.)

You can also use a FTP client (or your browser if it supports FTP) and download from the Adobe FTP server (ftp.adobe.com). The files are in /pub/adobe/cs6/downloads :

Windows (launch the .exe which will open the 7z file):
