I can't not get in with my password to download to a new computer. Why?

I am trying to download Lightroom Classic to a new computer but can not get in with my Adobe password.  Why?  What do I do since I have no option to get a new password?

install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.  if you're prompted for a password after starting a download with the cc app, it is your mac's password.

    It still will not allow me to download with my Apple password or my Adobe password used for Creative Cloud. How do I get a new pass word? How do I do this?
