I can't update my after effects software on mac 2014

Hi, I recently downloaded a trial run of the Adobe After Effects software on my 2012 Mac Mini. After the download was complete, and I tried to launch the program, I got a display message that said this:

So I checked on the creative cloud, and it said that I had an update for the software. So, I proceeded to install the software update however, after many attempts, it shows this message every time I try to update.

I honestly do not know what to do at this point, and it is very frustrating that I can not even use the trial version of this software.
