I cannot get Lightroom 6 to install properly on MAC OS 10.10.5 - receiving message 'Adobe Application Manager Quit Unexpectedly' ?

Trying to install Lightroom 6 from CD on a MAC OS v10.10.5 and receive the message 'Adobe Application Manager Quit Unexpectedly'.  

I tried downloading the latest version of application manager but still receive the same message.   Can someone help me ?

copy the installation files to a desktop directory and try installing from that desktop directory.  make sure you allow installation to the default applications directory.
