I cannot remove Notification Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud from Start menu list (Win10)

Hi,

 

I recently uninstalled Adobe Creative Cloud but after uninstalling everything the icon for Notification Manager for Adobe Creative Cloud is still in the start menu ist and cannot be removed.

 

Clicking ot that icons sends me to the Windows App store. The app is not in the library.

 

I tried to uninstall it from the start menu and from Apps and Features.
It  does not show in the Apps and Features.

I tried to find them in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs, ..\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. They don't appear in any of these folders.

I tried using Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and Microsoft Program_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab (the apps are not in the list )

I tried this commands in PowerShell
Get-AppxPackage *adobe* | Remove-AppxPackage
Get-AppxPackage *AdobeNotificationClient* | Remove-AppxPackage
Get-AppxPackage command doesn't return anything

 

I tried

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

SFC /scannow


I tried searching in the registry for AdobeNotificationClient, etc...

 

I have a system restore point, unfortunately after uninstalling Adobe Creative Cloud.

 

My machine is DELL XPS 9550 running windows 10 Home 64-bit with the latest updates

 

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Stoyan, information on how to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud applications can be found at https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html. 

 

If the computer can no longer run the uninstallers due to the procedures you have implemented to remove the software, then download and run the CC Cleaner Tool from https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html to complete the uninstall process.

Hi Jeff, 

Thanks for the reply. 

As I mentioned in my original post, I alredy tied Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool with no success. 

 

I did unistal Creative Cloud as advised on the Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app page and I used the Creative Cloud Uninstaer dowloaded from the same page.

 

The Problem remains.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, Stoyan.  If you still can't remove the software, then you may want to try simply reinstalling the Creative Cloud desktop app and then running through the uninstall process again.  Please make sure to review the settings for any installed security software that may be blocking the uninstall process.

 

Your post is very unusual, so there must be something extra involved that is blocking the process.  If you are confident that security software is not involved, try setting up a new local administrator account and going through the download and install process again.

The last two links are for Microsoft Support articles. If you are unsure what security/utility software is installed, then you can review the apps that are starting up following those directions. Also, it may be good to check the list of startup items if you haven't done so recently to verify there is nothing unexpected listed.
