I downloaded the upgrade Lightroom 5.6 and now don't see Lightroom

I downloaded the upgrade Lightroom 5.6 and now don't see Lightroom. I see the 5.6 LR logo but when I go to open it it wants to cycle to install

    lr 5.6 will replace any previously install lr 5 or better installation.

    what file (name and extension) did you download?

    what's the size of that file?

    what's your os?
