I getting error code: 201 continuously when downloading/re-installing Creative CLoud

I getting error code: 201 continuously as I'm trying to re-install the Adobe Creative Cloud app and Adobe CC applications.  There seems to be an unspecified "problem" with the download process, though when I first installed there wasn't.  I'm re-installing because Illustrator CC always failed to download/install.  Firewall isn't a problem.  Network isn't a problem.  WHAT is the problem that prevents me from downloading/re-installing on Mac OS X 10.8??

    Prodesigntools is an Indexing website , it just has mentioned the download.

    If you carefully check with download link, you will see its an Adobe link.

    Even sometimes based on rare connectivity issues,  for time being you can use offline installers.

    Regarding error 201  , it is necessary to check with download error logs, so that we can identify what exactly happening which is interrupting download process.

    I had this issue installing Creative Cloud again on my iMac a few days ago, and someone else on a Macbook had the same issue. We updated the OS to El Capitan and had no problems downloading Creative Cloud and any other apps after that...hopefully that helps.

    Also, I read and followed steps in other threads in this forum along with turning off the firewall, switching from wifi to cable, etc. None of that worked for me. Didn't think it could  be as simple as updating the OS!

    Follow below steps :

    Step 1)

    Click on the Finder and look for the options listed next to Apple Icon located at the top left corner of the Desktop screen and click on "Go" menu button and select "Utilities" option.

    (Applications>Utiliites)

    Locate Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folder under Utilities window and trash both folders.

    Step 2)

    Trash Adobe Creative Cloud folder from Applications as well.

    Step 3)


    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-ToFolder " option.

    2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)

    ~/library

    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.

    Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.

    Step 4)

    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" Folder option.

    2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.

    /library

    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.

    Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater ,Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.

    Step 5)

    Click on the below link and download & run Adobe Cleaner tool :

    Select the option "Adobe Application Manager for Mac OS X 10.6" and then click on "Clean up Selected" .

    Step 6)

    1)Click on Apple menu icon and select System Preferences, and then click Network.

    2)Choose the network that is currently connected to internet that can be Ethernet or Airport(Wireless).

    3)Then click on Advanced button and click Proxies Tab.

    4)Under 'Select a Proxy server to Configure' Uncheck all the proxy check boxes, then uncheck 'Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV)'.

    5)Then click on Apply Now button.

    If turned ON , turn OFF Mac Firewall.

    Step 7 )

    Click on the below link and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same :

    Once the installation process is completed, installation box will disappear, then open Application folder and locate Adobe Application manager launch icon , double click on it and update .

    Once the update is completed. It shud launch Adobe Creative Cloud app.

      Followed the procedure to the letter as listed step by step.  Error code 201 still persists.  This did not happen the first time I installed CC; only when I was to update the Creative Cloud app and Illustrator.  What is the ADOBE solution to this very common error?  The website I've been directed to sees like a 3rd party site.  What is the ADOBE SOLUTION to this seemingly common download/install problem?
