I had CS5 istalled on my work laptop and a backup copy on a second laptop. My work laptop has died completely. How do i deactivate it and install it on a new laptop??

    Yep that's correct , as soon as you enter chat  , let them know that this is activation issue , not installation or download related issue.

    Adobe support provides only Activation support for older version apps. If they get confused , they will obviously send you back here lol.

    You need to contact Adobe Support and ask them to reset your activations - ask for no more than that or they are likely to send you back here where no one can do that for you.
