I had to uninstall CS6 and I am trying to reinstall I have problems

I had to uninstall CS6 and I am trying to reinstall. The software wants a serial number and when I enter the original ID the suftware says it is wrong. What do I need to do?

This all happened as I trialled Creative Cloud. The community said to uninstall and reinstall hence where I am now.
