I have a master collection CS 5.5 serial code how do I use it?

I got a CS 5.5 serial code from a friend, but I don't know how to apply it because I don't have an installer? What should I do so that I can use the serial code?

    First make sure that you own the license.  If your friend has not already done so get them to formally transfer the license to you.
