I have Adobe Photoshop 6 Mac disk with license but my disc drive is broken so I can't install it.

I have a CD for the Adobe Photoshop 6 for my Macbook Pro but the CD drive is broken so I can't install. I can't find a download link for this program on the site (probably bc it's old). Is there a workaround? A download link somewhere else?

What we've tried:

1. The external SuperDrive won't work on a laptop that has a factory installed CD drive.

2. We've tried copying the CD using another computer to a Dropbox folder but it still won't let me install it on my laptop.

I need this specific program for a photo class I'm taking that starts Monday.

Thanks for any creative workarounds!

There are no downloads available for such an old program (PS6).  You can see how far back the dwnloads go thru the page linked below.  If you had said PS CS6 that would be a different story, but as it goes, PS6 is a 16 year old program and it is not likely to work on any newer machines anyways.

Yeah, we're pretty much giving up on it. Just hate that developers are now making customers subscribe to get programs instead of letting us buy them and be done with the expense. Appreciate your thoughts!

Well, all you need to do to run old software is keep using a computer with an equally old operating system

When I built a new computer with Windows 7 and my Microsoft Office 97 stopped working because it was designed for Windows XP I simply accepted the fact that my old software would not work on a newer operating system
