I have bought photoshop elements 12 but it won't install on my mac? Keeps saying my installation encountered errors?

I have updated my mac as well to os x maverick so that it would download as i hadn't updated my mac in a long time but it still won't install

Bekkilindsey do you receive any specific error messages when you attempt to install Photoshop Elements 12? I would also recommend reviewing Troubleshoot installation | Photoshop Elements | Mac OS.
