I have CS5 & light room 5 in Mac downloaded the latest version of plug-in 8.2 unable to install

I have CS5 & Light Room 5 for Mac. I tried to update my plug in for raw rile conversion so I can convert Sony's camera raw files. I downloaded the 8.2 version from Adobe and ran installation as directed. However the old version still there and won't convert. Pleas help

    ps cs5 can be only be updated to cr 6.7 but lr 5 can be updated lr 5.2 which should include cr 8.2

    both can use the dng converter, http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5645
