Question

I have CS6 for Mac on disc. I've just bought a Windows machine thinking I could install CS6 onto it. What now?

I genuinely thought the CD I bought with CS6 on it would cover both Windows and Mac, so without thinking I bought  windows machine, convinced I could just go ahead and install it. Is there a simple way of installing it online and using the same serial number?

No, you have to decide which machine you want to have it on and then request a platform swap if your choice happens to be the Windows machine... then there is no turning back, though you could probably install a Windows emulator on the Mac and use the Windows version there.

You can swap languages/platforms for a latest version product if you follow the instructions at the following link:

Thanks Ned. What a rip off! I've paid for my product and now I can't use it unless I jump through a load of hoops and relinquish one or other platform!? Absolutely unbelievable. That's like saying my drivers licence is only valid if I drive a Ford Fiesta and no other car. Oh well, Adobe just lost another loyal customer. I won't be singing their praises any more.
