I have photoshop elements 7 on my laptop which crashed and was replaced by a new laptop running Win 8.1. I have the serial number but when I entered it the response said the number was not valid. However a check of the Adobe site showed it was a val

I do not know what else I can add.  Basic question--what to do when the serial number is correct but the downloaded replacement does not accept a valid serial number.  This is urgent as I am editing a book for publication.
