I have replaced my XP with a new Windows 8. How do I install Elements 8 I used on the old PC please

I bought a new Windows 8 PC and want to get Elements 8 from my old XP installed on it.  I bought it online and still have the installation code but dont know how to install it.

    Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first BEFORE you click the download link.

    Enter your serial number to license it on your computer.

    Hi sandwedge001,

    Elements 8 is an old software is not compatible with Windows 8.

    Please consider purchasing the latest version of Photoshop Elements 12.

    Thank you. I was considering upgrading but I have a very old CD of Elements 5 which works on windows 8 so I cannot understand why Elements 8 wont.
