I have tried to download Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. After I hit "run" and then install it freezes at the downloading phase. Why would it do that and how can I fix it?

I have tried to download Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. After I hit "run" and then install it freezes at the downloading phase.  Why would it do that and how can I fix it?

    Make sure you are logged in to the Adobe site, have cookies enabled, clear your cookie cache.  If it continues to fail try using a different browser.

    Thank you.  I just tried all that but the result is the same: once it gets to the download part the bar does not fill up.  The folder appears on my desktop but it does not complete the process.  Am I missing something?  Should I be prompted to give the product information (serial number) earlier or something?
