I'll be dropping PS if Adobe doubles the subscription price
The simple reality is that few if any of the new features introduced each year in PS are of use to me.
Given that I don't make money using PS I'm not interested in paying $240 a year for it.
I don't need cloud storage; I've got >40TB of HD space at home.
If Adobe really wants to make more money then perhaps they should emulate the Mathematica pricing model. Mathematic is amazingly expensive unless you're a student or a hobbyist--ie someone who doesn't use Mathematica professionally. So if Adobe is going to double its prices it should create a new hobbyist subscription with no cloud storage and a $9.99 price tag. Adobe could even delay new feature releases by 6 months; I doubt anyone would care.
I get that Adobe needs a stable revenue stream but if they can't survive on $9.99/month they need to trim fat or they're going to lose users.
