Question

I'm a Creative Cloud member, why is my app launching as a trial? Mac OS 10.7.4

If you are using Mac OS 10.7.4, your Creative Cloud apps may launch as trials.  To resolve this please:

  1. Launch one of the problem Creative Cloud applications.
  2. On the Creative Cloud app trial screen, click License This Software.
  3. Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

UPDATE: For more information, see: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html

I found the solution for me!

On creative cloud software:

  1. Click the gears icon on the top right and click preferences.
  2. Click the accounts tab.
  3. Click Sign out. Then sign back in.
  4. Run your Adobe programs. They should now start normally WITHOUT asking you for a serial number... Also, a notification on the bottom right of my windows came up after I started photoshop... saying to register my software (this never came up before and is optional).

Nop... not working here.

I'm a Member of CC for the last 30hours, and all my apps are still in Trial mode

I'm using a iMac with OSX 10.8.3

Thanks behal.sarika .. but the problem presists.

I can't Deactivate, because this is a clean install on a 2 day old mac.

But it keeps sending me to the "Serial Number" screen.

My Adobe ID is: <E-mail removed by Moderator>

Tnx

I know this is an old thread but my experience maybe helpful to someone who had the same problem I did and was looking for answers....

I had the same issue as mentioned here, products downloading in trial and asking for a serial number when I try to activate.   Confirmed my email, waited 3 days (as suggested in another post about sometimes it takes Adobe's servers time to issue SNs -- don't know why it would take that long but...) finally called Adobe.  They looked at my account and noticed that I had not sent MYSELF an invite.  Apparently, being the account admin does not automatatically make you a user...this step is not very clear in any of the documentation.

BTW, I am using Window's 7 PCs.  Works great now that I got that figured out.

Jeff ,

I too just got my subscription and got my welcome mail and verified my address - I am running 10.7.4.  I have followed the steps in this thread, removed ALL cs5.5 software - rebooted - and same issue - started with JUST DW6 - then today (1 day later) PS6 asked for serial number.  I have contacted support on line - they apparently should not be listed under the support section - as they are not aware of this issue (I have to point them to this site) and after 45 minutes of each time on line with them - they finally state that they are "not technically trained, and to call technical support"  As I sit here with a 1 hour and 45 minute wait time (COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE) but I have no choice....

your thoughts?

Chauncey

CDavis818 the issue listed here should be resolved at present.  I would recommend you download the latest update to the Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/.  It is located in the bottom right hand corner of the page.

Adobe clearly has no intention of addressing this issue as evidenced by the telephone support person who hung up on me and the failure of anyone in this venue to offer any help. The forum indicates that this is a widespread issue. Is Adobe even making an attempt to support these obvious problems with Creative Cloud?

Garycsan which operating system are you using?  Is it 10.7.4?  If so have you tried the steps listed in this thread?  If not I will be happy to branch off your discussion to a new thread.

MindofDesign are you continuing to experience difficulties after activating under the newly created administrator account?

Those steps ???

1. Launch the application which says you are in trial mode.

2. On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click on "License this Software".

3. Sign in with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

I have bought a CC 1 year licence. Received mail from adobe. Bank account billed.

Running Macos 1,7,3.

Quite every time I start Photoshop CS 6 it says that the CC trial period has expired (I installed CS6 premium from trial a few days before CC was activated)

It ask to connect oline to activate -  then it activate properly but again next time I open ask for activation. But if I am not online it's not working !!!!

Each time i try to use camera Raw from bridge (command + R ) it says that a proper software needs to be activated before so I can't do batch processing but if I try to open one raw image in photoshop from bridge it opens camera Raw then opens properly in Photoshop CS6.

Is there a link between the two problem ?? why ask for activation every time ? how to use Camera Raw ? How to work ofline????

MindofDesign are you using Mac OS 10.7.4 as well?  Have you tried running under a newly created administrator account to see if your difficulties continue?

BTW: Clicking "buy" button (at least in german version) brings you directly to the Adobe online store - and not to a screen where it might be possible to enter Adobe ID

Jeff, thanks for the quick reply - just logged back into my CC account and was surprised that all the apps have been back again to "download in trial mode" - logging out and back in again - apps are back to "download".
