I'm trying to activate CS2 Design Premuim on a machine after it crashed and the operating system was reloaded

Becuase the system crashed I have not been able to deactivate the previous instalation - can somebody please help me with how I proceed? Thanks

    The old installation will be of no consequence as it cannot be reinstated anyways.  You need to see the following:

    Thanks for that Ned - the only reason I need to reinstall CS 2 is in order to then be able to install the upgrade version of CS 4 - do I still need to download the above (ie to then instal cs4 on top of it) or is there a way of simply adding my legitimate CS2 product code when loading the upgrade please?

    In an ideal world you do not have to install CS2 and you can just use the CS2 serial number you have as proof you qualify for the upgrade.  Unfortunately Adobe's is not an ideal world so I cannot say if you will run into an issue with trying to get CS4 activated using the serial number from CS2.

    If you do have a problem you can always try to get help from the chat folks (another non-ideal world in itself).  If you need to try...
