I need to install my photoshop cs on my new mac then upgrade

I need to install my old photoshop cs onto my new macbook pro via a disc (I have the USB superdrive) but it will not let me install it. I wanna install then upgrade.

Hi justjill6223,

If you want to install the upgrade version finally then it's better to install it directly than having the older version.

Having the older version on the MAC is not a compulsion to install an upgrade. Only the serial numbers of the older version as well as the newer version will suffice.

Please let me know what version are you trying to install? And what 's the upgrade version? Photoshop CS6?
