I need to revert to CS5.5 after an unrequired upgrade

I am using Windows 7 64-bit.  I recently downloaded an upgrade to CS6 but realise that this was not a sensible option for me.

I need to revert to CS5.5 but in trying to sort this all the Adobe suite is now inoperable.

Can you advise please?
