I purchased Lightroom on Amazon for my Mac. The program downloads but it will not open. I have been back and forth with for almost a year on this and I really need this fixed.

uninstall it and its settings using the adobe uninstaller.

then (assuming you have a serial number for lr 5) install, Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5
