I receive an invalid serial number message when attempting to reinstall Photoshop Elements 5

Hello Jeff

I am having the same problem. Over the years I have installed and activated Photoshop Elements a number of times. Each time I have also removed it before installing again. But now I cannot activate.

I had a 'chat' with one of your colleagues who said I need to raise the issue on the forum - I am afraid the transcript of the chat does not include the case number.

Could you reset my activations, please?

BTW, I have photoshop elements 5. I picked up this thread about 6 as I knew you 'work' it!

Thanks for the clarification, M.  If you are using the installation files provided with your purchase of Photoshop Elements 5, then please see Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite for steps to take to resolve the current error.

If you have any questions, please update this public forum discussion, M.

M, what is the specific error you are receiving when you are installing Photoshop Elements 6?  What operating system are you installing Photoshop Elements 6 on?  Finally, why are you reinstalling Photoshop Elements 6?  What happened to the previous installation?

    Hi Jeff

Thanks for your quick reply. The Error is 'Serial number is not valid'. I am installing on Windows 10 (it has been installed on W10 previously). I am reinstalling as I had to rebuild Windows. I have had several previous installations. Originally on another (XP) machine, which was wiped and scrapped. Then on this machine, I have had a problem with Windows that means I have rebuilt a couple of time. we have no other installation.

    cheers
