I've no idea how you've got as far as you have in the installation process.

CS2 is a PowerPC application written for old Macs. It does not install or run on modern Macs running El Capitan.

Is it definitely CS2 you're trying to install and activate?

    Hi John,

Thanks for your reply.  I double-checked and I actually have OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) on my computer.

Is there any way I can get my CS2 to work again?  It was working just a few weeks ago.

    Thanks!

Your original CS2 will not work... read below

CS2 (and earlier) Activation Server is gone, so read below

You MUST use the special number on the page, not your original serial number

    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html

That program is so old that it may not run at all on your new operating system

See reply #5 in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1965850 for several solution links

-the first link in that reply is a possible solution to install problems
