I've recently upgraded my computer and uninstalled my CS4 software and is trying to re-install it on windows 8.1; I am using the original CS4 disc however an error the installer database is corrupt keeps popping up when trying to install the software

I've recently upgraded my computer and uninstalled my CS4 software and is trying to re-install it on windows 8.1; I am using the original CS4 disc however an error the installer database is corrupt keeps popping up when trying to install the software. Please help.
