i want to change my adobe ID - adobe tells me the new ID is not available but it IS

i want to change my adobe ID - i put in the new one but adobe says it's not available but it most certainly IS. what now?

    I suggest you go thru with it regardless of the notificatiuon and then try signing back in using it.
