I want to restore my computer - can I reinstall Creative Suite 5.5 through electronic download and without original installation DVD?

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard with my MacBook Pro over 4 years ago. I'd like to restore my entire computer but know I would lose CS 5.5 in the process. I do not have my original DVD that I used to install the programs. I do have my serial number and registration date. Has anyone successfully reinstalled CS 5.5 without the original DVD and by using the electronic download?

Thank you, Anupriya! I was able to successfully restore my computer and reinstall CS 5.5. Word of caution for anyone else trying: make sure you deactivate your Creative Suite account before restoring.
