Illustrator and Bridge Crashing

I recently purchased Adobe CS6. Upon installation, the majority of programs (such as Photoshop and InDesign) would run. However, Illustrator and Bridge crash when prompted to open. Why is this happening?

    Hi Meredith,

    Did you encounter any errors during installation?

    > Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )

    > Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.

    And then launch and check.

    You might also want to check with a different 'Admin' User account on the PC.
