Illustrator checking for wrong version license.

I'm having a weird problem.

I run a bunch of different versions of adobe programs on my mac (OS Mojave).

After upgrading the OS, I'm trying to open Illustrator CS6 but it's checking for a license of Illustrator CC (which I don't have licended atm). It does not let my enter my key for the whole suit, just tells me my CC version is no longer licensed. I sometimes use Illustrator CC when a job requires is, but usally keep working with my old version as until now it was doing just fine. Photoshop and Indesign are booting up without a problem.

Why is it doing this and how do I fix this?

Also, I have been reading quite a few messages concerning Mojave causing problems with old programs, so you MAY have simply upgraded your OS to a version that won't work with CS6
