Illustrator CS5 Serial Number

Question

My computer recently crashed and I had to reinstall illustrator cs5 on my new computer. I have illustrator on another pc and found what I thought was the serial number for the program. However, when I type it into the serial number box in the new installation it is too short. I looked under Help and system info. Is there someplace else I can find the info. The box for the product is not with me and I will not be getting to the storage location with the box for 6 months.

Hi Tanyab77575254,As you have mentioned you would like to install and use Adobe CS5 on your new machine because the old computer crashed, however you do not have your serial number with you.If you purchased the product directly from Adobe or have registered the product with us, then you can find the serial number by following steps given here: Find your serial number.Let us know if this helps.

- page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

- includes link to your Adobe account to check for registered serial numbers

- when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer
