Illustrator CS6 Updates screwed my installation

Last few updates have totally screwed my Illustrator CS6 installation  - it now will not launch at all. Any solutions please? Macbook Pro, OS Lion, CS6 Production Premium on disc.

    you may need to uninstall, clean and then reinstall.  but you can try this first: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-launch-issues-problems-cs5.html

    Thanks for this. Indeed I did have to clean and re-install the whole suite. My next problem is that Updater shortly afterwards had 12 updates. Only 1 installed and the rest failed completely. What the heck is going on here?
