illustrator offline vailidation

Hello, I am using a windows 7 computer with photoshop/illustrator. it was that my illustrator serial number is not vaild. I try to use the offline validation. after i type in the request code and enter the serial number (directly from my adobe account) it says the request code is invaild and the serial number is invalid. I would appreciate any help.

your serial number is a 24 digit number (6 groups of 4 numbers) and it must match your installation file.  eg, if your serial number is for a creative suite and you're using an installation file for one of the included apps, you'll trigger an invalid serial number message.
