I have just purchase a new iMac running OSX 10.9.2. However, after reloading my Creative Suite CS5 and then atenpting to install the updates, I keep getting error messages such as these below:

Adobe After Effects CS5 10.0.2 Update

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

  Adobe Illustrator CS5 15.0.2 Update

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

  Adobe® InDesign® CS5 7.0.4 update

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

  Dreamweaver CS5 11.0.4 Updater

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

Photoshop 12.0.4 update for Photoshop CS5

There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.

This occurs for all my CS5 Creataive Suite programs.

Does anyone know if there exists a compatability issue with Mavericks and CS5? Is there a solution for this?

Thank you.

Colin

I know it is late but I just encountered this same problem after reinstalling cs5 on OS X 10.11

The manual updates didn't work, but i found this link to update the update manager which solved the problem:

    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4774&fileID=4438

It updated all my CS apps.

So you got your cs5 apps to work on OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

Did you get it to work with the Java download and this download you supplied?

I'm having major issues on Lion and am in desperate need to upgrade. I'm currently looking into buying a rebootable drive of Mavericks, but if I can get my CS5.5/CS5 apps to work on El Capitan, it would make my life a lot easier.

    Thanks...

Hi Jennifer, I know it's been a long time since your post... so it's possibly not of importance to you any longer, but as of today I can confirm that "1rtista"'s link helped to further update my CS5 apps after reinstalling them on ElCapitan (I had – dumb as I was – accidentally deinstalled the suite before) from my original installation DVDs, which surprisingly was not a problem at all.

The special Java download (which is more or less a Java downgrade from the Java supplied with a newer than 10.6. MacOS), as I see it) you seem to mention had in fact been installed 3 years ago during the procedure of updating from MacOS 10.6.8 to 10.11.6 El Capitan.

As far as I've been able to find out any combination of CS and MacOs version might be different, though. You maybe want to have a look here: https://roaringapps.com/apps for some hints.
