I signed up to a 3 year Adobe Student Account last year, paying £16.24 per month. However, this month I have been charged £24.96 for the same service. I haven't downloaded anything extra that I am aware of. Why has the price increased?

Alas, it's the fine print. Student plans are promotionally priced for the first year, and then there is an increase for subsequent years. Check out the screenshot below (sorry, it's in US prices, but the same principle applies).

Well, not exactly fine print as it is the same size of the previous text... but users tend to oversee it, also because the prime teaser talks of 19.99...
