InDesign CS5 Will No Longer Launch

For some reason I've started having problems with older versions of Adobe CS software not wanting to launch this week. First it was Illustrator CS 4, today it is InDesign CS 5. See screen grab below. I tried to run the uninstaller and it told me that I need to run the Adobe Cleaner Tool and then restart. So I downloaded and installed the Cleaner Tool ran it and then I got a message saying that I need to install the Adobe Applications Manger because my current one was not up to date. So I downloaded and installed the Applications Manger. But after running all these things I continue to get the error message below error: 5

MarkRomine it is likely most of the difficulties you are facing are due to compromised file permissions under your current User account.  I would recommend reviewing your installation log files to determine the specific errors you are experiencing.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret your installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for chiming in!

Since your comment above, I have booted from a separate internal drive and I have done a permissions repair and disk repair using the Apple Disk Utility and DiskWarrior and I still get the above Error: 5. I have tried to run the uninstaller for ID CS5 but the uninstaller tells me to reboot my machine, uninstall (which I can't do) and/or run the Adobe Creative Suits Cleaner Tool.

My most recent installer log for ID CS5 is dated 3/5/13 will that be of any help?

Any other thoughts?

No MarkRomine you will need to locate the installer log from your most recent installation attempt.  When was the last time you attempt to reinstall InDesign CS5?  Were you able to complete the installation process without error?
