InDesign error with Trial Version

InDesign error: I downloaded a trial copy of ID to evaluate. When I launch the app, I receive an Error message stating "Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you do not have sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders. Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign." There is no indication as to how to change my Preferences settings when the program doesn't launch.

If this is a PC installation, try running the program as an adiministrator

Im running a Mac and I am running it from my admin account. I am prompted to enter my credentials when downloading the app but it doesn't appear to transfer to the Preferences.
