InDesign is telling me to uninstall then reinstall the program, how can I safely do that?

I had 2 copies of InDesign on my macbook pro, so I took the copy that wasn't in my doc and I trashed it just because it was an extra copy. But now it won't allow me to get in InDesign at all; it's telling me I need to uninstall then reinstall it. I only have the c6 versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, so it's not Creative Cloud. How do I reinstall it InDesign?

    Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
