Indesign uninstall and reinstall

I am on Mac OS 10.8.5 with a Creative Cloud membership. I opened InDesign and it gave a message to uninstall and reinstall the program and reported Error 11.  I uninstalled and went to Creative Cloud and it says my InDesign is up-to-date and will not let me reinstall. What next?
