Hello everyone,

I have troubles uninstalling Indesign. I did it through the general software uninstall panel that opened Creative Clound to uninstall Indesign. But despite doing this several times, Indesign is still installed ! If this can help : In creative cloud, i can't fin Indesign in installed app.

What should I do ?

Thank you

Hi Florem19681799,

Based on your response, you have already tried the steps mentioned by Ned Murphy and the basic steps to uninstall InDesign CC from your machine which didn't work, I would request you to use Cleaner tool to remove it as mentioned on this link: -Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems and update this discussion with this results.

Thanks.

I am also experiencing this. I am trying to uninstall InDesign 2024. When I open the Uninstaller application, Creative Cloud breifly shows "uninstalling" - it gets to 1%, then says, "finishing" then "done." To be clear it is NOT uninstalling the application.

The uninstall option does not appear in Creative Cloud itself for me.

did you change any cc desktop app preferences since your indesign installation?

Of course! Who just uses the default settings for EVERYTHING?

So, since I do also have ID 2025 installed, and I can easily migrate my customizations from that to the fresh ID 2024 install, I tried uninstalling without keeping the preferences. That worked.

I will say though, that if the option simply isn't going to work, it should not be offered - and judging by the age of this thread, it's been an issue for at least 6 years.

Do you think that I don't know that ? I said that I already used Creative Cloud to uninstall Indesign but despite this, Indesign is still installed.
