Infrequent Intermittent Creative Could user options

I use Creative Cloud infrequently. Often just a few minutes here and there every other month or two. I currently use CS6 for this but I'm starting to run into issues. Is there any option for me where I don't have to pay $30 every time I want to change a date, word, or other minor detail in an illustrator file?

the only illustrator options offered by adobe are subscription plans, https://creative.adobe.com/plans and there are no metered plans that differentiate an infrequent user from a frequent user.

  Bill if it's not too late a look alike is Affinity Designer. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/ around $50 I think but has a trial offer

You may buy a monthly subscription for SOME programs, but that is for an entire month
