Initialization Error

Trying to install Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 from a CD onto my Mac.

Received the following after clicking Install:

"Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem"

I installed and no issues were discovered.

And before you ask I've already located where the install logs should have been.  All I could find were install logs from my previous version of Elements.  None were for Elements 12 or had today's date so I have no install logs to even review.
