Install Error Code 87

I am trying to install creative cloud (just trying to get adobe PDF) but I keep getting error code 87 "another installer in progress". I've tried using the adobe cleaner software, windows installer cleaner, stopping any install process and just about everything else I can think of and no luck. Can someone please save my sanity???

restart your computer and install the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.

hey Kglad, did that. I did end up fixing the issue but it required reinstalling windows. Don't know why, don't care as long as it's fixed.

For anybody running into future problems, definitely try basic trouble shooting that some of the older posts and Kglad mention. But if you are still beating your head against the wall, stop and just re-install windows. Save yourself the cost of new dry wall and a doctor's visit.
