Install failure with Photoshop Elements 12

Question

I had to buy a new computer, but when trying to install my P.E. 12 it says my serial number is invalid.  I bought the product at Costco & no problems with the original install.  I have a cd , which I copied to a flash drive and then loaded on my new computer.  This would be only the 2nd computer I tried to put this software on.  What is wrong, and how do I fix it? your serial number consists of 6 groups of 4 numbers. if you're using some other number you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

1. if you purchased from or registered with adobe (automatically done with cs6):, a. you can check your account, https://accounts.adobe.com b. you can check with adobe support* (be prepared to give the email address used when registering purchasing)

2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer,
