Dell Support just downloaded to my new laptop Adobe Acrobat 2020, which was missing. Now I notice in addition to the desktop shortcut a file folder full of what looks like program files and ReadMe documents in multiple languages.
How can I move this folder from my desktop? Where does it belong?
Since you obtained it from Dell, why don't you ask them about it?
Acrobat which is available directly from Adobe installs in your Program Files folder the same as other Adobe products.
