I would like to try the free trial of creative cloud so I can try out Illustrator.  I have downloaded the install, it appears to fun successfully (no errors are thrown) but when I go to open the Creative Cloud app through Finder -> Applications -> Adobe Creative Cloud -> Adobe Creative cloud, nothing opens.  Can someone help?

It's very strange, but the icon doesn't show on the menu bar.  Thoughts?

you can check the install logs, Troubleshoot Adobe Creative Cloud install issues with log files

or you can contact adobe support, using a browser that allows popups and cookies,  contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-ccm.html

uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

Thanks for this quick help.  I ran through the steps and the install was successful, but when I try to open Adobe Creative Cloud it still won't open.  Are there some logs that we can review to determine why I cannot open creative cloud?
