Install/upgrade Photoshop 7.0

I work for a business and have a brand new computer. I was given then Photoshop 7.0 disc, tried to install, and realized I do not have any previous versions already on the computer. The install wizard said I need Photoshop 4.0 or newer, but I only have 3.0. Will the upgrade still work?
