I have used CS3 until recently but was asked to install the programs again.

I have a new serial number and I downloaded the two files to install the programs again.

Unfortunately it does not work. I get the information, that I have to ask the adobe support which I am doing hereby.

I was asked to register the program but the server could not be found. Is there something I have to do?

Thank you very much once again!

No, Mpassehl3423, the registration server was shut down a long time ago.  Please click on do not register and continue using the software.

That is unfortunate. Also, I suspect a new Mac is more likely to run High Sierra, which broke an awful lot of software (though not as much as Mojave will). Budgeting for all new apps with every upgrade seems to be part of the joy of Mac.

You write " Adobe.com specifically states that CS3 should work with OS X Sierra. " Please post a link to where adobe.com says that, it comes as a bit of a surprise.

After looking again I was mistaken. I found this page, System requirements for Adobe Creative Suite 3 point products and clicked on the link for Photoshop CS3 thinking the information it would show would be for CS3. I didn't notice that the part at the very top is actually for Photoshop CC and wrongfully assumed that what I was reading was for the CS3 version. It's kind of dumb that the link for Photoshop CS3 takes you to a page that has no information about Photoshop CS3. To find the system requirements for CS3 you have to scroll to the bottom of that page and click on another link for Older versions of Photoshop | System requirements and supported languages.

Posting in the forums is reaching a public community. It is NOT contacting Adobe Support. However, you have posted in the right place anyway as Adobe Support cannot and will not help with unsupported products.

I uninstalled CS3, tried to install it from CD-Rom. Got the new serial number, Downloaded the given files from adobe.

Then I tried to start the installation but got the message, there is a mistake I have to contact customer support. But they have no idea...

    I am using Windows 10

In my App-.List there is CS3 Design Standard, but I cannot uninstall it.

If I try to, I get the message:

Critical errors were found in setup

    - undefined

    - The installer database is invalid: please re-install the product from the original media.

Please see the Setup log file for details

Meanwhile I tried to clean the registry, I deleted all adobe folders I could find (except for Acrobat Reader XI).

Moving this discussion to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.

Mpassehl3423 sorry, you are facing errors reinstalling Creative Suite 3.  Why are you reinstalling Creative Suite 3 on Windows 10?  What happened to the previous installation or is this a new computer?
