"Installation Failed", no CC apps installing and no explanation why

Hello,

I'm a rather old Adobe user but fairly new CC user and last night I tried installing and ID trial on my MacBook Pro, and got up to 42% when I got an installation error that has no more info to it. Assuming it was an issue with the CC desktop app, I tried downloading ID through direct link and tried installing it that way and the result was the same: the installation bar didn't even go up a notch and I had that "Installation Failed" window, with no error code or any other info as to what was going on. It was then I realised that PPro and AE I have previously installed were no longer working: when I tried to open them I got a window saying "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem". I followed instructions and was told that if I was using CC I had to reinstall CC. Which I tried doing but had no luck: each time I opened CC I got a blank window. So I followed instructions on how to solve this and had no luck either! So, to make a very long, 4-hour story short, in the end I used the CC Cleaner tool to "Cleanup" AAM and I got PPro and AE back. Then, I was able to reinstall CC and it's currently working. But, again, I try installing ID (this time only manually, as I'm sure it was trying to install it through CC that damaged AAM) and I get the same generic "Installation Failed" error, for which I can find NO specific info anywhere, nor any ways of solving it.

I would be very grateful for any kind of information you could give me toward fixing this issue. My MBPro is barely a week old and it's already having A LOT of issues with Adobe, and if now I can no longer install Adobe products on it, then it's of absolutely NO use to me because all the work I do I do on Adobe software.

Hello and thanks for following up on this one. Anyway, I was urged to finish the work that I am not able to finish on my new MacBook Pro due to these issues, so I went ahead and did it in my old PC with my old CS6. The AAM issue I no longer have because I solved it using the CC Cleaner, as I said in my last message. However, I'm not installing the Adobe CC desktop app as it was this that began the whole issue in the first place. I have opted to download the CC 2015 trials through direct link and see if these work. Otherwise, there's no point in upgrading... the fact that they can't install on a brand new MBPro and generate so many issues is a sure warning.

Anyway, I've exchanged the MBPro which had the issue for another one in the Apple Store just to make sure it wasn't an issue with the computer itself. So I've managed to install Premiere and After Effects 2015 as trials, as I managed before, but now I've tried installing Lightroom and I get the same error. When I click on the link which you mention, I get a blank local html page with another link:

And when I click on that, of course, it takes me to the Adobe website where all the system requirements info is located... which is obviously something I don't have to check because I'm running the most powerful and later MacBook Pro 15" Retina with OS X, so my computer is ready to handle Adobe CC.

Hi, Bani, thanks for answering. I had already read your article in the FAQ, and I've followed all troubleshooting guides I have found, but unfortunately nothing seems to work. I've navigated into my /Library/Logs/Adobe/  folder but there's no "Installers" folder inside, so I can't retrieve the installation log. What else could I do?

This is the screen I get when trying to install InDesign (and then any Adobe CC app):

And then this is the screen I get after that when trying to access any Adobe CC app until I run the CC Cleaner and click "cleanup" for AAM:

What could be going on?
